Swiss Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries

KFPE’s overall aim is to contribute to sustainable development at the global level through research partnerships. It is a Commission of the Council of the Swiss Scientific Academies (CASS). KFPE membership consists of members (ad personam) and delegates of associated institutions. The Commission has a secretariat in Bern. The web site includes information on funding opportunities, programs and events, and links to other organizations. Site is in German and French as well as English.

More than 600 million people have Internet access

According to newly released statistics from Nua Internet Surveys, 605.6 million people had Internet access at the end of September, up from 580.7 million in May 2002. here you can find further information on the geographic break-down of Internet access.
