ICT for rural economic development: five years of learning

This publication summarises the main lessons about the use of ICT to boost (rural) economic development that IICD and its partners learned between 2006 and 2010. It builds on an IICD publication entitled ‘ICTs for agricultural livelihoods’ which provides an in-depth analysis of our lessons up to 2006. Special attention is given to the upscaling of projects, which began in 2006. Some lessons are sector-specific, but most can also be applied to other sectors like education and health.
