  • Over one quarter (29%) of Indigenous people living in Western Australia participated in at least one Indigenous creative arts activity
  • 88% of people in Western Australia attended cultural venues and events in the 12 months prior to interview in 2005 - 06
  • 24,632 people in Western Australia had a cultural occupation as their main job in the week prior to the 2006 Census
  • $1,352 million of Western Australia’s household expenditure is on cultural goods and services
  • Western Australian performing arts organisations staged 4,438 paid performances which generated almost 1.2 million paid admissions in 2006 - 07
