EVOLUTION OF INTERNET JOB SCAMS

It was is the late 90s when the internet took its place in most of the african countries this time many people especially the working class had something about the internet and what it does at the same time scammers used this opportunity to scam people .

At that time we used to read adverts on our local news papers then you are directed to visit the scamers website without you knowing if it’s a scam or a certain type of lie ,from there you fill up different forms plus giving all your informations plus your photos to them .

After few weeks you will get an email or phone call that your applications have been accepted , so please submit more informations about your self and send a certain amout of money so that they can process your things in time .

If its not about processing your applications then its about your arrangements to attend an interview at a certain said place most of the times in arabian countries or western europe .

That is when people get scammed when u send such amout of money they cut of communications with you plus others who paid the same as you many people suffered loses .

As things changed when people get more information on scammings the scammers changed tactics in the past decade they used to send emails as spam to thouthands of people calling for there applications to the mentioned jobs and other opportunities .

Most antivirus and internet security softwares couldn’t identify spam emails when more advacement where made to systems to email service providers .

As am writing most companies which provide free email services like yahoo, msn and google have special filter systems to identify spam or scam related emails they go directly to spam boxes so that a user can delete but this is not a 100 percent game as other emails can come over to your inbox without detections .

In the last 3 years scammers have started building self websites , blogs and job related websites or groups which provide jobs and other related opportunities they do the same when you apply after sometimes they ask for money or payments .

If they don’t ask you to pay from your location they might invite you there and grab all your funds plus other belongings or kill or hijack and as for money from your relatives .

When you join such websites or job related blogs you don’t loose only cash if you happen to pay sometimes you loose even your identity , they can use such informations to do harm to other websites or even buy things online if you provided your bank details .

In tanzania things are different , sometimes they take your contacts from local news papers when you are called for interviews , they call and as for cash so they can favor you in the job process .
As a job seeker you need to be very carefull to such scams or related and provide this information to others who might be interested to read and understand scams .

NB : THIS DOESN’T MEAN WE DON’T HAVE CORRUPTION IN THE JOB MARKET , SOMETIMES YOU ARE ASKED TO PAY SOMETHING TO THE PEOPLE WHO INTERVIEWED YOU MONEY OR SEX .
