IFPRI Forum talks with Fazle Hasan Abed about BRAC’s activities to benefit the poor in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Africa. The founder of one of the largest NGOs speaks how the food price hike and the financial turmoil has affected the clients and the organizations itself. He further explains how the experiences of BRAC in Bangladesh are benefiting the poor in Africa. Lastly, he sheds some light on how the private sector can be made more active to benefit both the poor and the business.
