DIRSI is pleased to announce that its database of "Indicators of Affordability and Access to ICT in Latin America and the Caribbean" is now publicly available.
By launching this tool we seek to make available information used by DIRSI researchers in their studies on ICT access in the region. Our goal is to provide useful quantitative information in a clear way to the various stakeholders in the field.
This first series of data includes values for 13 indicators related to prices and markets of mobile telephony in 18 countries in the region. Future data updates will allow comparisons across time that will help following the evolution of the service’s affordability through different times and markets. Data regarding broadband tariffs will also be added.
Information can be viewed in bar graphics or in maps, and can be downloaded as a spreadsheet.
