Mapping of Poverty and Likely Zoonoses Hotspots

The mapping of human-animal diseases such as tuberculosis and Rift Valley fever undertaken in this study finds that an "unlucky" 13 zoonoses are responsible for 2.4 billion cases of human illness and 2.2 million deathers per year, with the vast majority of these cases occuring in low and middle income countries.
