The Hunger-Free Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative, a FAO project that seeks to eradicate hunger in this continent, has presented seven National Reports on Right to Food. These Reports were commissioned to five Not Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to assess progress and challenges regarding the implementation of Right to Food policies in seven nations that the Initiative considers a priority.
These Reports were drafted as part of the FAO’s effort to build social awareness regarding the Right to Food, and to assist the countries in the analysis of their alternatives to make this right a reality for the millions that still suffer hunger.
The Reports include information regarding the legal status of the Right to Food, analyze the implementation of programs that fight hunger and make overall considerations about the advance of hunger eradication policies.
