The latest Report of the United Nations in Haiti 2010 Situation, Challenges and Outlook has been launched. This report summarizes the efforts undertaken by the United Nations system and its partners, in support to the Haitian people and their government, to answer the multiple humanitarian crises, to accompany the electoral calendar and to advance on the road to recovery.

Where are the rconstructed houses in the key figures?
Are there none? And what about transitional houses, preferably those which could become part of a permanet house?
Looks like it is the first Post Disaster reconstruction - there are plenty of lessons learnt and literature.
Even ruble clearance is a problem: make it an asset, as most rubble is a valuable building material for small houes. With the information how to do it, people will solve this mostly by themselves.
My impression: the whole renstruction approach is a disaster by itself.
