This report reviews the experience of credit unions in three countries implementing two of World Council of Credit Union (WOCCU)’s group methodologies for downscaling to the poor in underserved rural and peri-urban areas. The purpose of this research is to gain a better understanding of the realities of implementation on the ground, including results achieved, lessons learned, challenges faced and modifications made by the credit unions.
