Today, 55 million children under five years old around the world are acutely malnourished. Over a third of these children, an estimated 19 million, suffer from the most severe form of acute malnutrition. Without treatment, these children are at imminent risk of dying and of never achieving their growth potential. Taking Action: Nutrition for Survival, Growth and Development presents ACF's proposed strategy for ending malnutrition. It is an urgent call for a worldwide response to acute malnutrition to ensure survival, growth and development.
