Co-convened by The NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent Health and the Department of Adolescent Medicine, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, in collaboration with The International Association for Adolescent Health, the conference was attended by 510 delegates from 15 countries in the Region. More than 100 talented and articulate young people contributed to the sense of energy and excitement over the three conference days, and feedback received confirmed that the quality of the program content was of high order with relevance to professional roles. The level of sponsorship, including support from both State and Federal Governments and the involvement and support of stakeholder NGO groups, was unprecedented for such an event held in Australia.
