The chief objective of this study was to explore the situation with regard to HIV and AIDS in four selected teacher training institutes (TTIs) in Ethiopia, to analyze their responses to the pandemic and the measures taken to mitigate its impact. The ultimate aim was to identify the obstacles, problems and challenges faced by the TTIs, and to put forward evidence based recommendations for a more effective and coordinated response.
