The Trafficking Alert is an electronic newsletter published by Vital Voices as part of its work to promote effective partnerships between government officials and NGOs across the United States and around the world to fight trafficking in persons.

The October 2002 issue of the Trafficking Alert focuses on the important work of NGOs in the fight against human trafficking. In this issue we hear from organizations in Brazil, Ukraine, the U.S., India and Uzbekistan. We also hear from two groups in the U.S. who have joined together with law enforcement officials, government officials and nonprofit organizations to create U.S. statewide and regional task forces to more effectively help trafficking victims.
