"The Central Asia + Information and Communication Technologies project is a multi-year investigation of Internet and related technology developments in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The project began in 2000 and has received funding from the Fulbright Program, the National Science Foundation, the University of Washington Russian, East European, Central Asian Studies (REECAS) program, and the University of Washington Marc Lindenberg Center for Humanitarian Action, International Development, and Global Citizenship."
