About Zunia

Zunia is an independent publication about how development was measured between 2000 and 2015.

The subject is the machinery: the Millennium Development Goals and the indicator lists attached to them; the Paris Declaration and the high level forums at Rome, Accra and Busan; the HIPC and MDRI debt initiatives and the stages relief moved through; and the household surveys and national statistical offices that produce the figures everything else quotes.

The site is organised in four parts and fifteen pieces. Institutions appear here as bodies with documented mandates and published data. Figures are attributed to the body that published them.
